'When we are Married' directed by Michael Flanagan was great fun and praised by all who saw it for the acting, great set and costumes.

OSWALDTWISTLE PLAYERS are honored to receive another prestigious National Award from

The National Operatic and Drama Association.

The Commemorative Programme produced for The Accrington Pals play last October at the Civic Theatre Oswaldtwistle has already won the trophy for best in it's category in the North West Regional Awards and has now also received first prize in the NODA National Finals.

The trophy was presented by Christine Hunter Hughes, the NODA Regional Councillor, to Clare Highton the Chair of Oswaldtwistle Players, during a break in rehearsal for ’Playing Away’.

The programme was a team effort of researched articles, photos and artwork from the committee and society members, and was designed and produced by D&AW Blackburn.

Thanks to The Heritage Lottery Fund North West for supporting the Accrington Pals production

The Vicar of Dibley  April 27th - 30th 2016 received the trophy for the best poster in the NODA National Awards 2017.

Stefanie Baron, celebrated her success after winning the coveted ‘Best Female Lead in a Play’ trophy at a National Operatic and Drama Association NW annual awards ceremony held on Saturday 21st January, 2017 at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Blackburn.  Stefanie faced stiff competition to win the award for her portrayal of the vicar, Geraldine Grainger, in the stage version of the classic The Vicar of Dibley, a role made famous by Dawn French.

Stefanie said ‘I was absolutely delighted to get the opportunity to play the role of the Vicar of Dibley. It really was the opportunity of a lifetime and I had the time of my life doing it.  Genuine blood, sweat and tears went into learning all my lines and stage directions as the part itself was enormous – I was never off the stage in the whole two hour performance each night.  To be nominated was an incredible achievement, but to win was a feeling I cannot describe.  We played to a full house every night all roaring with laughter throughout which is the best feeling in the world’.

'Playing Away' written by Janet Shaw

"Came over from Wakefield to see your production last night. Please pass on my congratulations to the cast and crew for a wonderful presentation. The audience around us loved it and were really getting behind you. My husband and I had a really good night so well done to each and every one of you, keep up the good work. It was a really good show and your set was fabulous, it was well directed and extremely watchable. Well done".
